PAVER SEALING · APOPKA, LONGWOOD, LAKE MARY & WINTER GARDEN
Cleaned, re-sanded and sealed, a driveway gets its color back and stops growing weeds in every joint. Done wrong, it turns cloudy white and you live with it for years. The prep is the whole job.
WHAT SEALING ACTUALLY DOES
It is not a cosmetic coat. Sealer locks the joint sand in place and keeps oil and organic growth from soaking into the stone itself.
Unsealed pavers go chalky and gray as the surface weathers. Sealer restores the depth and richness the stone had when it was installed.
Weeds and ants live in loose joint sand. Re-sanding and then locking the joints with sealer takes their home away, which is the difference most people notice first.
Joint sand is structural. Once it washes out, pavers rock underfoot and edges start to sink. Sealed joints hold, so the field stays flat.
On a sealed driveway, a dropped oil spot stays on the surface long enough to wipe up rather than wicking into porous concrete.
Growth still lands on a sealed surface, but it does not root into it. The annual wash goes from a project to a quick rinse.
Matte for a natural look that does not read as coated, or a wet look that deepens the color noticeably. We will put both on a test area before you decide.
RECENT WORK
Most of these were sealed alongside an exterior repaint, which is the efficient way to do it. Plenty are standalone jobs on driveways that were never sealed after installation.

HOW WE WORK
Sealer applied over a damp paver turns milky white. That is the single most common failure in this trade, and the reason we do not rush the drying.
Whatever is on the surface when we seal is sealed in permanently:
This is the day that separates a sealing job that lasts from one that hazes:

RELATED SERVICES
A repaint already includes washing the house, and an exterior job already has us on your property for several days. Adding the driveway then costs less than booking it on its own later.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Three to five years on a driveway in Florida, longer on a shaded walkway or a covered lanai. Full sun and tire traffic are what wear it, so the apron by the street always goes before the rest.
Only if you want it to. Matte reads as natural stone with deeper color. Wet look is glossier and more dramatic. We put both on a small test area and let you choose in daylight.
Around a pool we add a grit additive to the sealer, which keeps the traction while still giving you the color. On driveways and walkways it is not an issue in normal use.
Sealer applied over pavers that had not fully dried, or applied too heavily so it could not breathe. It traps moisture and turns milky. That is why we build a full drying day into the schedule instead of washing and sealing in one visit.
Yes, for the drying day and for 24 to 48 hours after the sealer goes down. We will tell you the exact window when we schedule, and we work around a one-car driveway if that is what you have.
No. Pavers that have never been sealed usually show the biggest change, because all of that color is still in the stone under the weathered surface. Bring them back clean and the sealer does the rest.
