WOOD REPAIR & REPLACEMENT · APOPKA, LONGWOOD, LAKE MARY & WINTER GARDEN
Fascia, soffit, trim, columns, garage jambs. We replace the wood that has gone soft before anything gets coated, with our own carpentry crew rather than a subcontractor you have never met.
WHAT WE REPAIR
Rot follows water, and water follows gravity. Almost every repair we make is at a roof edge, a joint, or the bottom six inches of something.
The most common repair on any Florida repaint. Gutters overflow, water sits on the fascia board, and the board goes soft from behind where nobody can see it.
Window and door casing, brick mould, corner boards. Replaced in full lengths rather than patched, so you do not end up looking at a seam.
Porch columns rot from the bottom up where the base meets concrete. We rebuild the base or replace the column, depending on how far it has gone.
Bottom of the jamb, bottom of the stop, the threshold. Sprinklers and driveway splash do this, and it happens on nearly every house eventually.
Individual boards and panels swapped out and blended into the existing run, matched on profile so the repair disappears under paint.
A sun-beaten wood entry door is usually salvageable. Stripped, sanded, repaired, restained and clear coated for a fraction of a new door.
BEFORE & AFTER
Ten years of west sun had taken the finish down to bare, blotchy wood. Stripped, sanded, the soft spots at the bottom rail repaired, then restained and clear coated. The homeowner had already been quoted a replacement door.
“Two companies told me the door was done. Kingdom brought it back for a third of what a new one cost.”

HOW WE WORK
Wood repair is where a contractor can invent work. So we photograph what we find and show you, every time.
Soft wood is found by hand, not by looking at it from the driveway:
Our own carpentry crew, not a subcontractor scheduled around someone else's week:
A repair you can find afterward is a repair that was not finished:
RELATED SERVICES
Bare new wood needs to be coated quickly, so the repair and the paint belong on the same schedule. Most of our wood repair happens as part of an exterior job for exactly that reason.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Press a screwdriver into the fascia behind your gutters. If it sinks, that board is gone. Paint peeling in one isolated patch, a soft spot at the bottom of a door jamb, or a dark stain bleeding through are all signs there is water behind it.
Sometimes. Exterior epoxy is the right answer for a small area in otherwise sound wood. It is the wrong answer for a soft three-foot run of fascia, and we will tell you which one you have.
Both, depending on the location and your budget. PVC and composite trim will not rot again and are worth it at ground level and behind gutters. Wood is fine where it stays dry and is easier to match on a profile.
Not once it is coated. We match the profile, caulk the seams and blend the finish into the surrounding surface. On a stained door we match the stain and clear coat the whole door rather than spot-touching it.
Yes, and we prime what we install either way, because bare wood left open in Florida starts over on the same problem. Most people bundle it with a repaint because it saves a mobilization.
Usually a gutter that overflows, a sprinkler head aimed at the house, missing caulk at a joint, or a downspout emptying against a column. We find the cause and tell you, because new wood in the same conditions rots on the same schedule.
